Abstract
In this minicourse, I will review some basics of QFT in flat and curved spacetimes and some applications of Unruh-DeWitt particle detectors. In particular, I will discuss Hawking radiation, the Unruh effect, and entanglement harvesting. Time permitting, I will briefly mention other protocols within the field of Relativistic Quantum Information.
